The course equips a student with competencies in the provision of health services in a Perioperative Theatre set-up within the Hospital. It entails preventing nosocomial infections, provision of technical services, ensuring the safety of patients and the theater team. Other duties include participating in operation theater clinical services, maintaining theatre instruments and apparatus, administration, and management of an operation theatre department in a hospital.
