Health Care assistants also known as caregivers (patient attendants) are trained to professionally assist patients with Activities of Daily Living such us feeding, positioning, elimination e.t.c. Within hospitals, home based care and homes for the elderly.
They are trained to interpret basic medical instructions and assist individual patients on the same.
DURATION
The course takes 6 months and it entails three months of intensive course work and three months of clinical attachment.
